On one of my recent It’s a Glam Thing beauty segments for Charlotte Today, I had the chance to meet a young lady who has found a way to combine two of her passions: fashion design and helping her community. Sharply Shredded is a brand new and totally cool clothing line founded by Charlotte designer Alexandra Evans. What makes her line unique is that every piece is hand shredded and woven into different designs, ensuring that no two are ever the same. So if you have one of her shirts, rest assured that you’ll never run into someone else wearing the same thing. Here’s mine!:
But another aspect of this company that makes it even more unique is its commitment to supporting and making a difference in the community. Working closely with local homeless shelters and ministries to help provide job opportunities for those down on their luck, Sharply Shredded hires less fortunate and displaced men and women to help produce their merchandise. So in turn, the sales of these items directly benefit the employees by enabling them to provide for their families. Sounds great to me:)
