Lavendar Facial

When I get stressed and need a little pick-me-up I love to use this technique for a quick remedy. The smell of lavender is so soothing and feminine and instantly evokes a sensory experience. Furthermore, the herb itself can be used to treat a variety of medical conditions. It has been said that lavender can aid with insomnia, headache, nervousness, and indigestion. Keep in mind that with any natural remedies, it is important to test the product on a small patch of skin to test for allergic reactions.

lavender-oil lavender-oil-2

To use lavender, I like to create a little concoction. Get a clean bowl and run the water in it until it reaches a very hot temperature. Then, put in eight drops of lavender oil and slowly let the mixture settle. Mix together, if it doesn’t naturally do so. Then, get a clean face towel and soak the wash cloth in the hot water for 5-10 minutes or until the water cools down to a warm temperature. Then, ring out  the wash cloth and gently line up the edges of the wash cloth with the edges of your face. Find a nice nook or relax on your bed for 10 minutes. Additionally, to create an even more soothing environment, light some candles or play some soothing music. This is great for nerves and tension. As you relax and become naturally sedated, the steam from the towels will slowly open up your pores, allowing the healing properties of the oil to remedy skin imperfections. Treating yourself to this facial once a week will do wonders for preserving radiant, healthy skin!

Today on The Balancing Act, Systeme 41, Skin Care with Age Defying Results

dr. janet zand

Watch here: http://www.thebalancingact.com/story/4919/the_next_stage_in_skin_science

Dr. Janet Zand joins The Balancing Act host Julie Moran on Lifetime Television for an information-packed segment on the marvels of plant stem-cell science in skin care and the tremendous benefits provided women . If you’re looking for a more natural alternative to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, be sure to watch. It’s morning TV made for a woman… Skin Care With Age-Defying Apples

As women, we want our skin to look its best, and put our best face forward in the New Year. And that includes keeping the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles at bay!

Women are realizing that some of the popular skin care products they use contain harmful chemicals, parabens and artificial ingredients, and can actually harm skin.

Did you know that certain apples and grapes can help in the battle against anti-aging?

Scientists are discovering some breakthrough ingredients in nature – plant stem cells – that are revolutionizing skin care for women of all ages. These stem-cell ingredients are helping women in their quest for more youthful looking skin!

Système 41® has formulated a skin care line for women based on plant-stem cells from Swiss Apple Trees and Gamay Grapes.

o Studies found that the unique and rare Swiss Apple tree from the Alps:

– was able to quickly repair any damage to its apple skin – plus has a much longer shelf life/longevity – has unusually resilient stem cells

Système 41® skin care helps revitalize aging skin, repair fine lines and wrinkles and improve skin elasticity.

o Gamay Grapes from France:

– have unusually high levels of powerful anti-oxidants that can actually offset the negative effects of Ultra Violet exposure from the sun, sometimes by as much as 58%

– grape stem cell technology can protect and even repair the discoloration and dark spots due to sun exposure.

So, scientists have learned that apple and grape stem cells work very effectively to help skin appear smoother and younger.

The Systeme 41 formulations include 20 active ingredients including almond oleosome complex for improving moisturization, amazon white clay to exfoliate, and white tea extract to slow the formation of wrinkles.

It’s also a great value:

o You might expect to pay $200, $300, $500 or more for skin care products like these. o Système 41 is NOT sold in stores o The Five piece Skin Care Essentials Kit is only $129.95 with free shipping o $100 money back guarantee o Single products are sold too

“Système 41 is pleased to partner with The Balancing Act to inform women of the benefits of having apple and grape stem cell technology in our all-natural products. Our clinically proven products demonstrate how 92% of women see firmer, younger-looking skin in only 30 days,” says Dr. Janet Zand, formulator, Système 41.  www.systeme41.com/Special-Offers/201311/SYJZLTEZA14.htm

Diet, Exercise and SPRAY THIN your way into the New Year

Spray Thin

Spray Thin

It’s that time of year again, “the 1’st of the year”, when many of us are ready for a “New Year” and a “New Body”. Losing weight has always been a struggle for me but I was able to do so with lots of hard work, mainly diet and exercise. For me, exercise is the easy part but the diet part…not so easy. A friend of mind recently told me about a new product she is using called Spray Thin. Spray Thin is made by several of the same people who created Sensa, *the number one selling diet product today. My friend’s mom lost weight with Sensa and my friend wanted to try this new, more effective scent based weight loss product and she is enjoying using Spray Thin very much.

I don’t particularly like to use the word “diet”, I like using the term “eating program” because I like the idea that I can design my own “eating program” based on the calories I want to consume while eating the foods I enjoy. With the help of Spray Thin, you can enjoy the foods you like to eat without overeating because Spray Thin enables you to use portion control by making you feel less hungry sooner helping you to reduce your caloric intake. Basically, you can eat your favorite foods and feel full and satisfied. Spray Thin was designed to reduce hunger, therefore helping to increase weight loss.

The following information was taken from their website and explains exactly how Spray Thin works: http://www.spraythin.com  “Spray Thin is the first liquid scent spray for food that sends appetite suppression signals to the brain while eating, effectively shutting off hunger. It’s important to understand the connection here. The real key to portion control and to losing weight begins in the nose. That’s right! Your nose knows.

Spray Thin

Spray Thin

For years, medical doctors have known that when nasal centers are damaged, more often than not, obesity results. In fact, quite contrary to gastronomic logic, there are a number of groundbreaking studies demonstrating that a heightened sense of smell during eating results in faster satiety and less calorie consumption. Spray Thin contains specially manufactured scents that do not affect weight loss by changing the taste of food; however, they do activate nasal sense receptors that trigger patterns of electrical activity in the region of the brain that affects appetite.

For example, during each meal or snack, when using Spray Thin, target scents trigger your brain to tell you that you are full faster. The result is that you are happy with your meal and you stop eating earlier, ending up with less calorie consumption and greater weight loss.”

Spray Thin is available in two scents, Sweet and Savory. Spray Thin Sweet is used for sweet foods such as desserts and treats and Spray Thin Savory is used on all other meals which are not sweet. The spray tubes are thin and you can  easily carry them with you throughout the day. Spray Thin will not affect the taste of your food as I have tried it. Spray Thin is calorie free, fat free, caffeine free, sugar free, and contains no MSG or artificial colors.

What better time than now, with spring just around the corner to start losing weight. Remember, exercise is an important key to any weight loss program and Spray Thin will help with the portion control part of your food program. Now you can start looking forward to feeling great this Spring with the help of Spray Thin.
