CeraVe Therapeutic Hand Cream is a Miracle in a Bottle

Unknown-42

Dry skin is not only the bane of our existence up here in colder climate but it’s pretty much a problem for anyone who is constantly washing the dishes, doing laundry, going out into the cold…and so on (which is pretty much all of us unless we are Rockefellers and have personal maids)…especially in the winter time. If you have got dry, chapped, cracked or chafed skin, this will not only help you heal it but it will give you a layer of protection throughout the day without feeling greasy or oily in any way.

Myself, I have tried many, many therapeutic creams and have found them lacking. For one thing, they can smell like aluminum….and go on ‘thin’…just don’t ‘feel’ very good. And after a half day or so you are back to that dry, flaky skin. Not so with CeraVe Therapeutic Hand Cream. If you’re desperate like me, still looking for a moisturizer that will actually work on your dry, flaky or scaly hands – whether it’s sensitive, psoriasis, or just very dry, try CeraVe Therapeutic Hand Cream.

Honestly up until now I had never even heard of CeraVe Cream. It’s a miracle in a tube! And the good thing about this moisturizer is that it’s not just good for general dry skin, but also works for sensitive skin, psoriasis and many other skin conditions. In fact I have even read that Pediatricians recommend it for babies! So you can’t go wrong!

CeraVe was developed by dermatologists and uses a patented formulation that provides a protective barrier on the skin’s surface. This special formulation helps to repair, restore and maintain your skin. The three main ingredients are: Ceramides, which helps to replace the lipid levels in damaged skin to repair, restore, and maintain the skin’s natural barrier. Then there is Niacinimide, which helps the skin produce more natural ceramides and fatty acirs essential for repairing and restoring the skin barrier and may even help to reduce rednesss! And, hyaluronic acid, which sounds scary but really is an essential ingredient (called a humectant) that attracts water to the skin and ensures that it remains hydrated.
The other incredible thing – which isn’t always the case with other therapeutic moisturizers – is that this product will not irritate your skin.  Having had dry irritated skin my whole life, I am extremely cautious as to what I will put on my skin. It either has to have a lot of natural ingredients without too much in terms of additives – or it has to be therapeutically formulated. Then again, I could just move to a tropical place where my skin would be moist year round (I might miss my family though…I don’t know).

Apparently, you can also buy this product in an all-over body moisturizer. And, since 29 out of 32 customer reviews on http://www.drugstore.com/  give CeraVe a 5-star rating, you really can’t go wrong. Now this product doesn’t appear to have an SPF in it…which isn’t a must by any means in a therapeutic skin cream. I’m planning on using this for a whole month to see how it works long term….but even after a week of using it three times a day, my skin has already improved in terms of color and moisture.
