New Year’s Resolution-Eating Healthier!

Happy New Year!

And let those resolutions begin!  Yes, I am someone who does resolutions.  The good thing about aging however is that I’ve gotten smarter about making resolutions! I no longer wait until the New Year to enact the changes that I want in my life.  I also make resolutions that are more realistic, and do not beat myself up if I slip.  I allow for what I call the 90% rule.  Whatever resolution I make doesn’t have to an “all or nothing” rule.  As long as I manage to do it 90% of time, and become more conscious of what I am trying to achieve, I am happy.

One resolution is to eat healthier.  As both Ellen Miller and Melinda Lombardo have attested to, your diet is reflected in not only how you look, but is crucial in maintaining good skin and overall health.  I have certainly gotten more aware of what I put into my body, and even though I may try my best, I realize that there will be times I won’t always be able to eat as healthily as I like.

One product to help me keep me on my path to eating healthier? MDR (Medical Doctors Research) Fitness Tabs for Women.   MDR Fitness tabs were developed by Medical Doctors based on the latest research.  For superior results, nutrients are specifically combined to enhance bioavailability. A leader in vitamin technology, MDR was the first to offer AM and PM dosages to double the body’s chances for absorption and effectiveness. The AM/PM formula allows double the absorption of key vitamins, minerals, and trace elements.  This is the core of any supplement program to support overall health, energy production, immunity, brain function, healthy skin, hair, nails, vision, and cardiovascular health.  No mega doses. Just the right amounts of the right nutrients at the right time.

Part of what makes MDR unique is that they constantly monitor nutrition research and update their formulas accordingly.  Each nutrient in their formula is selected for the highest level of purity, potency and efficiency of nutrient yield.  They contain no Vitamin K-1, which means people on blood thinners or taking daily aspirin can enjoy the benefit of a multivitamin without worrying about it conflicting with their medication.  They are also gluten-free. One drink that Dr. Oz swears is his “green drink”. This drink will help jumpstart your mornings. It is a high fiber, low calorie breakfast drink. It will also go a long way into making sure that you are incorporating more vegetables into your diet and is rich in vitamins.

Ingredients
2 cups spinach
2 cups cucumber
1 head of celery
1/2 inch or teaspoon ginger root
1 bunch parsley
2 apples
Juice of 1 lime
Juice of 1/2 lemon

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a blender. This makes approximately 28-30 ounces, or 3-4 servings.

I’ve doctored mine a bit.  I also add almond milk and cinnamon. Love it! Between my MDR AM/PM Fitness Tabs for Women and my “green juice” I should be able to keep one of my resolutions!
